WA2TG ("the App") is developed and operated by Left Hand Marketing,
Johor Bahru, Malaysia. This policy explains how the App handles your data.
1. What the App Does
WA2TG links your WhatsApp account as a secondary device and automatically forwards
messages from selected WhatsApp groups to Telegram channels that you configure.
Optionally, it uses an AI service (with your own API key) to classify and route messages.
2. Data We Do NOT Collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit your WhatsApp messages to our servers.
We do not collect personal information such as your name, phone number, or contacts.
We do not use analytics, advertising SDKs, or crash-reporting services that send data to third parties.
We do not have access to a server — there is no backend operated by the developer.
3. Data Stored Locally on Your Device
All data is stored exclusively on your device:
WhatsApp session credentials — stored in an encrypted local database, never transmitted externally.
Telegram Bot Token — stored in the device's private app storage.
AI API keys (Claude / GPT / Gemini / DeepSeek) — stored locally, used only to make API calls on your behalf.
Forwarding statistics and AI logs — stored locally for your own review, never uploaded.
4. Third-Party Services You Connect
When you use the App, messages are transmitted to:
Your chosen AI provider (Anthropic Claude, OpenAI GPT, Google Gemini, or DeepSeek) — message text is sent to their API using your own key. Each provider's privacy policy applies.
You are responsible for reviewing the privacy policies of these third-party services.
The App developer has no access to data transmitted to or from them.
5. Permissions
INTERNET — required to connect to WhatsApp, Telegram, and AI APIs.
FOREGROUND_SERVICE / DATA_SYNC — required to run the forwarding service in the background.
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED — allows the watchdog to restart the service after device reboot.
POST_NOTIFICATIONS (Android 13+) — to show the foreground service notification.
The App does not request access to your contacts, microphone, camera, location, or call logs.
6. Children's Privacy
This App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
7. Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes materially, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of the App after any change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
